Brontë Parsonage

The Sixth Form Literature Groups visit the Brontë Parsonage Museum

It was safe to say that the one thought that we all shared, as we set off to the Brontë Parsonage in the pouring rain, was that it was going to be a long day. However, on the contrary, it was quite the opposite. The day whirled by in a rush of inspirational talks on Jane Eyre and a fascinating tour of the Brontë Parsonage itself, all of which will serve as useful background knowledge for our studies at AS and A2. Yet the best part of the day was definitely the long, strenuous walk up onto the moor. Standing there surveying the view, with the wind - and Mr Payton - howling in our ears, we experienced the true Brontë atmosphere at a ‘Wuthering Height’.
