Founder of Women into the Network, Dinah Bennett, delivers a Networking workshop to Economics Students at Queen Margaret's.

Take a piece of paper and a pencil. Now without looking at your watch draw its face on the piece of paper.
This was the first task set by Director of the International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Enterprise, Dinah Bennett at her workshop ‘Networking Works’ delivered on Tuesday 2nd November. Using a series of every day examples and punctuated by activities Dinah Bennett delivered a presentation focused on the importance of networking, vision and first impressions. Students and staff took part in all activities, from drawing the watches, mapping out networks to talking about what we dislike about networking and coming up with solutions to overcome those dislikes. For the Sixth Form Business, and Economics students this was an opportunity not to be missed to gain invaluable advice on how to make a sterling first impression, network successfully and efficiently and how to achieve personal visions.
As to drawing the face of your watch? Not to worry if you get it wrong, seventy percent of people charged with the task get it wrong too!
