Congratulations go to Josie Comerford, Zara Collins, Eve Thompson and Ellie Brownlow who fought off competition from, amongst others, Bootham School and Castleford High School to come first in the 2011 Salters’ Chemistry Challenge. Held at Leeds University the girls were presented with their prizes by Professor Heard, Head of Chemistry at the University.

 

The Salters’ Chemistry Challenge is part of The Salters’ Festival of Chemistry a Festival dedicated to making chemistry more attractive to eleven to fourteen year olds. The Festival provides young students with the opportunity to experiment with chemistry in an exciting and practical way.
