'On Monday 23rd January a team of four of us went to the University of York to participate in the 'Top of The Bench' Competition. After a few organisational issues the challenge began: we had to balance equations, identify coins, match chemical tests with their answers, as well as flick tiddly winks into a conical flask, plus many other tasks. We worked really well as a team and enjoyed the event. Unfortunately we didn't win but we didn't come last either. To finish the event we all received sweets. We would like to thank Miss Whay for coming to pick us up in the mini bus and Mrs Gorton for taking us.'
