Tennis is principally played during the summer term though many girls play throughout the year, including senior and junior winter squads. It is a compulsory part of the curriculum for Years I-IV and can be continued as an option in Years V and VI either on a competitive or recreational basis.
An extensive fixtures list includes weekday matches against local schools and matches against independent schools on Saturday afternoons. There are inter-house matches for all year groups.
QM enters the following tournaments and competitions:

U14 Hepworth Cup
There is squad training throughout the year with both external coaches and coaches within the QM PE Department and in addition, girls are offered a choice of private or group coaching with external coaches. This extra-curricular programme is offered all year round and is popular with girls of all age groups and abilities.
Every girl at QM is given the opportunity to play tennis and each year group concludes the year with a singles and doubles tournament.
