A Fashionable Success

Charity Fashion Show Raises over £5500 for York Charity

Lacrosse is one of the three major games played during the autumn and spring terms. It is a compulsory part of the curriculum for girls for Years I - IV and can be continued as an option in Years V and VI. The fixture list includes matches against schools, universities and clubs. There are also inter-house matches for all year groups.
QM enters the following tournaments and competitions:

North Schools Tournament   Seniors, U15, U14, U13 and U12
Indoor 7-a-side Tournament   Seniors
Scottish Schools Tournament   Seniors 1st and 2nd
National Schools Tournament   Seniors 1st 2nd and U15

Girls who are of a high enough standard are encouraged to attend Yorkshire County Trials and the North of England trials. Successful county players play in the county's tournament. Successful north players attend the territorial tournament.
Year I and II girls are encouraged to attend Centex Open Lacrosse Days. These tournaments are to provide girls of all abilities with the opportunity to advance their game through competitive play and coaching. Tournaments are held at venues throughout the UK.
In Year III and above girls are nominated by Queen Margaret's and if selected are asked to attend regional Centex training. From here girls can then be selected by Centex representatives to attend Centex national training.

Lacrosse has always been one of QM's strongest sports with, in past years, girls representing Yorkshire County Lacrosse.

For those who wish to attend Lacrosse Camps there are a varied number of opportunities including:

Elite Sports-Camps
UK Lacrosse
