Charlotte Cohen wins Ilkley Literature Festival

Year 2 Charlotte Cohen has won the Ilkley Literature Festival for the 11-14 category, with her imaginative short story Pizzazz.
Netball
Netball is played during the autumn and spring terms.  It is a compulsory part of the curriculum for girls in Years I-IV and can be continued as an option from Year V upwards.  There are four senior teams, two U15 teams, three U14 teams, three U13 teams and three Under 12 teams. An extensive fixture list includes weekday matches against local schools as well as matches against other independent schools on Saturday afternoons. All year groups play inter-house matches
 
QM enters the following tournaments and competitions:
 
U19, U16 and 14 National Schools  Competition
 
U15, U13 and U12 York and District Tournaments
 
U13 A + B and U12 A + B Casterton Invitational Tournament
 
Girls who are of a high enough standard are encouraged to attend the Yorkshire County Trials, the York and District Area Trials and associated training sessions. Those girls who wish to are encouraged to attend Netball Camps such as:

The England Netball Young Leaders Camp
