Boarding Houses
Girls live in Year Groups, each supervised by two Housemistresses. Dormitories are informal and accommodate between two and eight girls according to the size of the rooms and the age of the girls.

Year I girls live in Red House where the comforts of a (very) large family house with its own gardens and play areas provide the ideal setting for those who have not boarded before.

Girls in Years II - IV live in the main school building where each Year Group has its own dormitories, common rooms and kitchen. Year V girls live in Winifred Holtby House, a purpose built boarding house opened in 2004, where girls, in the first of their public examination years, have separate dormitories and study areas.

Lower Sixth girls live in another purpose built boarding house, Cloisters, after which, as the Upper Sixth, they move on to the Sixth Form Cottages where each girl has a single study bedroom.
