HOCKEY
Seniors
York and District Tournament
v The Mount  won 1 – 0
v Fulford  won 6 – 0

QM retained the trophy with two convincing wins.

Year IV
v City of York lost 4 – 1

The opposition were top class and we were put under enormous pressure from the start. We played well and improved as the match progressed and can be pleased with our performance.

SQUASH
Seniors
v Harrogate Ladies won 5 – 1

A very solid performance from the team and good preparation for the National finals in 2 weeks.

BADMINTON
Seniors
v Harrogate Ladies Won 6 – 3

An excellent team effort with some outstanding individual displays – still unbeaten, well done.

LACROSSE
- all matches v Harrogate Ladies

Year I
Won  6 – 3

This was a great game and they showed real determination to win. An excellent team performance.

Year II
Won 7 – 4

The better team won and we displayed good ability in all areas of the pitch, especially in the second half.

Year III
Won  9 – 6

A rather rollercoaster of a game with us leading 2 – 0, then going 6 – 3 behind and eventually winning 9 – 6. We made hard  work of this match through slack defending and not converting our opportunities.

Year IV
Lost  8 – 5

A very competitive match where the score didn’t reflect the play and we were unlucky not to sneak a draw.

2nd XII
Drew   4  - 4

We deserved to win this match as we were more skilful and used our speed effectively. However we were unable to convert our numerous chances into goals – maybe some shooting drills are needed!

1ST XII
Won  12 – 5

A highly competitive match, which saw us battle our way to a well deserved victory. An outstanding team effort and a good warm up for the Nationals next week.

CROSS COUNTRY
Tilly Lowther came 20th out of 360 entrants in the National Cross Country Finals held this week. An outstanding performance – well done.
