On Thursday 16th June 2011 a group of Year I and Year II QM students travelled to Huntington to compete in the Woodleigh Athletics Competition.

We did really well with personal bests from Harriet and Poppy Kettlewell in the 100m (13.68 and 14.15 seconds resepctively), Elizabeth Hill in the long jump (4.30m) and 200m (30.83 seconds) and Ishbel Lowther in the long jump (4.37m) and 300m (46.65 seconds) whose times broke records for the event. Scarlett Scott broke her personal best in shot put (7.08m) and Millie Holder came first in the 1500m by a long way (Millie's time was 5.42.25). QM also won the 4 by 400m relay by fifteen seconds and were only seven seconds from beating the record. Overall it was an amazing afternoon and as a group we finished in first place.Well done everyone!
