A lot of hard work went into the planning of the menus and the final display of food, not to mention the actual cooking. Miss Rickard commended all the participants for the mature and organised manner in which they conducted themselves throughout the afternoon and for the delightful food they presented to the judges, Mr & Mrs Gorton.
The Best Starter was: Duncan’s Smoked Salmon and Cheese Parcels
The Best Main Course was: School’s Paprika Spiced Pork accompanied by Honey Roast Carrots, Buttered Asparagus and Rosemary Potatoes
The Best Dessert was: Garry’s Melt in the Mouth Chocolate Puddings served with Vanilla Ice Cream and Fresh Fruit

The running totals for the 2010 competition are extremely close, with only 4.5 points separating the top and bottom houses, which makes for an exciting Junior competition next term:
